Hello! I'm Nicole.

I write about the things that make up a life — travel, food, friendship, work, the odd professional humiliation, and the strange experience of finding yourself in your fifties and realising that this is, unexpectedly, one of the more interesting places you've been.

I grew up in West Sussex, spent fifteen years in New Zealand, and came back to England with a deep attachment to flat whites, Marlborough sauv blanc and a complicated relationship with the weather. Those things come up quite a bit.

This is not a blog with a particular agenda. It's more of an ongoing conversation with anyone who's interested — about places worth going, things worth eating, and the occasional larger question that sneaks up on you between the two.
